Regional Professional Engineers Groups Victoria (RPEGs Vic) Activities

Regional Professional Engineers Groups meet in a number of regions across Victoria as a follow on from the many regional engineers groups which operated successfully for many decades within Engineers Australia (trading name for the Institution of Engineers Australia).

Each RPEG has a local committee which includes Professional Engineers and affiliated professionals interested in engineering projects as well as engineering businesses and universities with professional engineering BEng students in the area. They organize activities, dinner speaking events and site visits of interest to the members to facilitate continuing professional development (CPD), encourage each other with their professional careers and to enjoy each other’s fellowship. Activities are organized to be low cost so as to encourage full participation.

In Victoria, a Regional Professional Engineers Country Weekend is held each year in a different host regional city/town under the overall guidance of a Victoria wide RPEGs Vic organizing committee. Professional Engineers in all branches of engineering from the regions and the Melbourne metro area, their colleagues, friends and families are all invited to join in for some discussions, dinner speaker events, site visits to engineering project highlights in the area and social activities in various enjoyable local restaurants and wineries.

In time it is hoped that RPEG groups will also be formed in other States and Territories across Australia.
